Dr. Debra Gibson has practiced naturopathic functional medicine for more than 25 years. After completing premedical undergraduate studies at The Johns Hopkins University, she attended National University of Natural Medicine in Portland Oregon, a four-year, accredited naturopathic medical school, and graduated as an N.D. in 1983.
Her practice is currently virtual-only (online), using a secure, HIPAA-compliant software platform. The tele-health care model enables her to offer her work globally, and facilitates group participation in webinars, wellness programs, and other health-focused events.
As an experienced naturopathic doctor, she is an expert in alternative medicine, integrating conventional approaches to diagnosis with functional medicine diagnostics and treatment to heal the underlying imbalances which create disease.
“Viewing a person from the perspective of wellness rather than from a disease-oriented perspective is both effective and life-enhancing,” says Dr. Gibson. “Looking at how a very healthy person’s body works best – and then creating a plan to get there, is a radically different approach from that experienced by most people in our current culture
of medical care. True healing creates change on every level: physical, biochemical, emotional, energetic and mental. In my work, I am privileged to participate in and witness this transformative process occur over and over – but what I find most rewarding is to know that this approach empowers people to take charge of their health and live well for their entire lives.”
